A Trilogy
The Sentinel (and the other books in A Trouble World series) began as a tribute to my son, Dakota, as a means to 'keep him close'. That inspiration, along with my son's and my history of gaming together, is what led to A Troubled World series (Aethon Publishing). My goal is, as always, only to make him (and my daughter) proud.
A TROUBLED WORLD SERIES
What is A Troubled World? Well, it's lite LitRPG or fantasy with a questing twist, written by a female author to present a strong female protagonist (something we don't see enough of in this genre!). The Nonpareil series is what I would call "crossover LitRPG". It has some things that 'define' LitRPG (some gaming mechanics) but they aren't so invasive that they make the story secondary. Nope, here it's all about the story first.

Book One of A Trouble World
A middle-aged woman named Nikole wakes up in strange world, inhabiting a strange body, and alone. She finds herself befriending a strange group of people and tagging along as the "noob" member of an elite group. At the request of a god and the need of a planet, Nikole and her elite group of friends have only one small task: to save the world as they know it.

No memorial is grand enough for a lost child (no matter the age of our child, when we lose them). I can only hope this will help to immortalize my son and let his name live on and on.
